ETR 1999. The long established engineering company of Badoni, Lecco, started the production of Breuer type diesel shunters in 1932 and soon established a dominating position in Italy for diesel shunters. Many new designs emerged, including producer gas, radio control, rack and narrow gauge versions, and the company was a pioneer in hydrostatic transmission, but ceased railway production in 1993.
This is a well produced history of the products, described type by type with many line drawings and photographs. There is also a works list, which explains the complicated system of allotting the works numbers. 204 pages 24x22 cm, hb.
