Compiled from the Derek Cross collection. Lovely collection of 380 colour images from New Zealand 1953-59, from the camera of Brit Derek Cross, and introduced by his son David. They show a wide variety of trains in scenic settings, at a time when life seemed more peaceful than today. Most are steam hauled, but the collection also includes a few early diesels. In some pictures, some detail is lost on the black locomotives, but generally the pictures are rich in colour. 200 pages A4, hardbound.
